The Sendak Fellowship is a residency program that supports artists who tell stories with illustration. The Fellowship offers a four-week retreat for artists to live and work at Scotch Hill Farm in upstate New York. The Fellowship offers the opportunity for artists to deeply engage in a project in the relative isolation of a rural, farm setting. At the same time, they receive inspiration from each other as well as from visiting artists and professionals in the field.

Curiosity Forum: If These Walls Could Talk (5/29/16)

Join us for a talk on Sunday, May 29th at 2 pm in the Freight Depot Theater at Hubbard Hall for a fascinating talk on the region's storied stone walls. Stone walls are an enduring testimony to the strenuous labors and strong work ethic of subsistence farmers who toiled for generations on ~100-acre lots.  Those lots had been defined by hardy teams of surveyors that used compasses and chains to define the magnetic directions and lengths of boundaries.
